Meet the podi

The region behind the flavour

For people who think “spicy” should actually mean spicy.

Hot, punchy and unapologetically spicy. Andhra Podi is for meals that need serious heat and attitude. Sprinkle it over rice or dosa, mix it with ghee for a fiery chutney, or use it as a bold rub for fish.

Flavour: Chilli-led heat with garlic, aromatic spices and a tangy tamarind edge.

Rub

Fish with a fiery crust

Lightly coat fish with oil and Andhra Podi before pan-cooking. Cook thoroughly and finish with lemon.

Sprinkle

Scrambled eggs with a kick

Add a light sprinkle to cooked scrambled eggs. Taste before adding more: Andhra is the hottest of the four.

Mix

Spicy rice in a few stirs

Mix a little Andhra Podi into warm rice with ghee or oil. Add curd on the side if you prefer a gentler balance.

Finish

Roasted vegetables, turned up

Sprinkle over freshly roasted cauliflower, potatoes or carrots. Add it at the end when you want a more noticeable spicy finish.

Start with a little and adjust to taste. The podi already contains salt.

Amma's Andhra Magic, Now Protein-Powered!
Tastes exactly like my mother's Sunday gunpowder. It's fiery, aromatic, perfect with ghee idli. But now adds 4g protein per spoon? My office dosa tiffin went from comfort food to fitness fuel.

Best Gunpowder Masala Ever!!!
This is by far the best Gunpowder Masala I have tasted, and trust me I have tried a lot of brands. But the others are too hot and spicy. I especially like the Rapidli Andhra Podi and it doesn't burn my mouth. Infact I have it with my dal rice and sabzi instead of achaar.

Post-Gym meal made right
Sprinkled on dal-chawal post-workout. The spice is perfectly right, protein math works (12g total meal). No more plain rice for me.
